Eleanor for VP

Now that the middle school student electrons are over, I can share the adorableness that is Eleanor’s campaign posters. (Her stump speech was all about how her bear-like qualities would make the her the best choice.) She didn’t win the race for VP, but she will be an ASB senator in 8th grade. Way to go, Eleanor the bear!

June Music Madness

Another weekend of music madness comes to a close. Yesterday all four kids performed in a massive 2 1/2 hour choir concert with the Seattle Children’s Chorus, and today Eleanor performed at the awards ceremony for the Edmonds Music Teachers Association. Her original composition, “Flight of the Mosquito,” won second place in the Washington State Young Composers competition, and so she was asked to perform it. She hadn’t played it in over a year, so she was understandably nervous about the performance. But we are so proud of her, she did a great job!
